A Quick Tutorial on How to Get Involved with the WomensLink Google Group
If you’re reading this chances are you have been invited to join the WomensLink Google Group – you are most welcome! Of course, with any new online service there is a learning curve – so here are some handy tips for how to engage with the Group:
How do I receive conversations from the Group?
You will receive an email every time a new conversation is started and when new replies are added to that conversation.
Do I need a Google account?
The simple answer is “no”. You can engage with the Group via email without a Google account. However, if you have a Google account associated with your email you can access the Google Group via a web browser if you wish. You can create a Google account with your email by visiting https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/27441?hl=en and go to the section entitled “Use an existing email address” – see below screenshot.
How do I interact with a conversation?
Simply hit the reply button from within the email you received from the Group and it will post to the Group.
How do I change my name on the Google Group?
You can change your name on the web browser version by clicking on “Manage My Membership Settings” and updating your Display Name as is shown in the below screenshot:
