Women in Leadership

Covid-19 and the resulting restrictions and isolation have been very difficult for so many women but it also provided a period where many of us assessed our lives and wanted to make a change. Women in Leadership can help you make that change.

Women in Leadership is all about giving women the confidence to challenge ourselves and use our skills to make a meaningful difference to our own lives and communities. It will help you by increasing your confidence and sense of empowerment and may provide a bridge into further education, training or employment.

The OCN Level 3 endorsed course will be held on Thursday mornings and last four weeks starting on Thursday 7th October, 10.00 am -12.30. The course is practical and experience-based rather than academic, focusing on existing skills and how to use them to create positive change. The training content will be informed by WRDA’s work on barriers faced by women accessing adult education and will include approaches designed to address these.

Absolutely no prior education or training is required – just an interest in developing your skills and how to use them to create positive change.  Participants will live within Belfast City Council area and be able to participate on Zoom.  Please send a paragraph explaining why you are interested, along with contact details to Deirdre.quinn@wrda.net
