Resources

WRDA’s vision is of a fair and equal society where women are empowered and are a visible force for change and influence in all areas of life. We work from a feminist perspective, informed by women’s lived experiences, recognising that inequality is based on and sustained by structures and systems that limit personal choice and freedom. To ensure that WRDA’s work is informed by women’s lived experiences, we sometimes undertake primary research with women and girls. This primary research seeks to shine a light on gender inequalities in our society and understand what actions are required to tackle these inequalities.

We act as an information hub for the women’s sector, while also striving to raise the profile of women’s issues in the wider media. Through our communication channels, we publicise the latest news, funding opportunities, events and research of interest to women. We issue regular ezines and email updates, publish a newsletter and manage WomensLink, a free online space for members of the women’s sector to come together, network and share information. Our staff are always happy to answer queries from individuals, organisations and members of the press seeking to find out more about our work or the women’s sector in Northern Ireland.
