Event: Supporting Women, Reducing Stigma

Friday 9th May :  9.30 - 12.30pm
Venue: Shankill Shared Women's Centre, 3 Mayo Link, Belfast, BT13 3BD

This maternal mental health week, we will highlight the good early intervention practice that is developing in Northern Ireland.  We will have input from the Children's Commissioner, The Mas project, the multidisciplinary teams based in GP surgeries and others to highlight the importance of a trauma informed supportive approach and early intervention.  The event will also address the challenges that women face in disclosing a maternal mental health problem and explore what can be done to address this to produce better outcomes for mums who are facing additional challenges.

Register now.

This event is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund and the Pilgrim Trust.
