Volunteer role: Office Volunteer
The organisation
WRDA’s vision is of a fair and equal society where women are empowered and are a visible force for change and influence in all areas of life. WRDA’s mission, as a regional organisation, is to advance women’s equality and participation in society. We work with women to achieve social, economic and cultural transformation. The Chair and Management Committee of Women’s Resource and Development Agency acknowledge and value the involvement of volunteers in our projects because they reflect the interests, needs, and resources of our community. Volunteers are essential for the delivery of our projects and we are committed to ensuring that they are treated fairly in all respects.
Volunteer Role Overview
The office volunteer will provide administrative support to the WRDA team and will report to the Interim Communications and Membership worker. Suggested times of volunteering are two mornings per week and out of pocket expenses can be reimbursed.
Office Volunteer tasks
- Answer telephone
- Welcome visitors
- Photocopying, printing and scanning
- Organising office supplies
- Assisting in event organisation
- Basic research
Volunteer Profile
This role would suit a reliable individual who was looking for experience of an office environment. It is necessary to be able to commit to WRDA’s values and ethos and ideally have an interest in the charity sector.
