Community Facilitator programme
We believe that education is a key factor in addressing the marginalisation of women. It is for this reason that we developed the Community Facilitator Programme to enable and empower local women. It is a FREE course open to those fitting the criteria below. The programme combines theory and practical activities to enable women to develop facilitation skills. Upon successful completion of the Community Facilitator Programme, participants will receive a Level 3 Certificate in Learning & Development.
The programme modules are: Working with groups Communication/interpersonal skills How adults learn Planning and evaluating sessions Conflict management & resolution Group dynamics Anti-discriminatory practice
Who can become a Community Facilitator? The Community Facilitator programme is aimed at women who have already participated in personal development programmes and are keen to develop facilitation skills. Ideally participants should: - Be active in their local communities, e.g. members of women’s groups, community groups or other community based organisations.
- Have an interest in community issues.
- Be willing to attend training sessions and complete appropriate work associated with a Level 3 Certificate in Learning & Development.
